Gavin begins his journey by selling fish commercially from a small boat registered for commercial purposes, operating out of Saundersfoot Harbour.

Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gavin seizes an opportunity to connect directly with customers by selling the freshest catch from his own fishing endeavors at popup markets, bringing fresh fish to the community of Pembrokeshire.

Opened Shop With A Meat and Fish Counter
Gavin takes the next step in his culinary adventure by opening the doors to Rib & Oyster, a shopfront in Kilgetty featuring both a meat and fish counter, offering locals access to premium-quality ingredients.

Built a dining experience
Responding to overwhelming demand, Gavin installs two tables at the back of Rib & Oyster, which quickly evolve into thirteen tables, turning the establishment into a beloved dining destination known for its warm atmosphere and exceptional fare.

Recognising the importance of accessibility and convenience, Gavin launches ribandoyster.com, a digital platform bringing Rib & Oyster's top-quality meat and fish directly to customers' homes, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the flavors of Rib & Oyster, no matter their location.

Dry aged in house
We select all of our meat on the bone and dry-age for a minimum of 28 days for beef.
Fresh not frozen
Our meat has never been frozen. It will arrive to you perfectly chilled.
